  • Second Baptist Church is a small church in Van Buren, AR pastored by Rev. Robert Morrison who has been pastor since December 1976 and continues to this day. Rev. Morrison had an earlier stint as pastor at the church from 1959-1964 when he left to pastor at a different church in Arkansas. His combined tenures total thirty-seven years, a large majority of the over fifty years he has been preaching God's word. Services on Sunday morning start at 9:45 am and the evening service starts at 6 pm, with Wednesday night services at 7 pm.

Many people have been led to Jesus as a result of this small church and there are several members who can be quoted as saying they wouldn't be going to church anywhere if not for this little church on the hill of Arkansas street. For that, and the work that is done there to try to lead people to Jesus Christ, the small church gets the highest recommendation.

  • Bro. Morrison retired in Oct. 2008. We now have a fine new pastor Bro. Grady Glass. We have some very good singers & are making progress. Looking forward to the future. Come and see.
