  Our family member was cremated. They grudgingly agreed to give the family one hour for a viewing. No casket was purchased. They placed her body on a table in a small room, a hand-written sign on the door said: "Limit of two visitors at a time." She was covered with a blanket, no pillow. They had neither washed her face nor combed her hair. All visitors were behaving appropriately, but after thirty minutes we were TOLD to leave. They said, "We have another family coming in." We were not treated compassionately, we were treated with contempt. After this experience, I would never let them care for another of my family members. Apparently, compassion has a price tag.

  OMG, Randy Smith and the rest of the staff at Edwards Van Alma are excellent. Looking at Gerald at his funeral, he didn't look like there had ever had any thing wrong with him. His color was excellent. Everything went off like clock work. Everything they told me that would be done and when it would be done was exactly that. I have since preplanned my funeral at Edwards Van-Alma. I was so surprised at the benefits that come in some of the packages. It was the smartest thing I have done in years.

  Randy smith and the staff at van Alma funeral home has done a great job . They have taken care of several family members at different times. Couldn't ask for any better care .
